Notice of Draft Master Plan on Public Exhibition

ZVIMBA DISTRICT MASTER PLAN (2025-2039)

Zvimba Rural District Council hereby gives notice, in terms of subsection (2) of section 15 of the Regional, Town and Country Planning Act, Chapter 29:12, as read with section 8 of the Regional, Town and Country Planning (Master and Local Plans) Regulations, 1977, that Zvimba District Master Plan has been adopted and is now on public exhibition commencing 29 October 2024 and ending 29 December 2024. All the documents: relevant to the draft master plan are on public exhibition at Zvimba Rural District Council Head Office in Murombedzi on the following days and at the following times: during weekdays Monday to Friday from 7:45 am to 4:45 pm and can be accessed electronically on the following social media handles and or downloadable via the www.zvimbardc.co.zw/downloads     or request via admin@zvimbardc.co.zw   Facebook: Zvimba Rural District Council

Any interested person or organization may make objections to, or representations regarding the Master Plan, in writing to the Provincial Planning Officer, Department of Spatial Planning and Development, Mashonaland West Province, P. Bag 710, Chinhoyi on or before the 29th of December 2024. Objections and representation should state the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made. Objections or representations must at the same time, be copied and sent to the Chief Executive Officer, if

Explanatory note:  Zvimba District is in Mashonaland West Province and covers an area of 6, 072 𝑘𝑚2. It is subdivided into 35 wards that is Ward 1 up to Ward 35. Zvimba district is bounded by Norton Town Council and Chegutu District to the south, Harare City to the south-east, Mazowe district to the east, the proposed New City to the north-east, Guruve District to the north, Makonde District to the west, Sanyati district to the Southwest, Manyame district to the Southeast and Chinhoyi Municipality to the Midwest.
